Mount Carmel College – Baler is a Catholic institution of learning which aims to prepare the youth become mature members of the Christian community who is imbued by the Carmelian spirit of prayer, compassion and prophetic action. The school serves as the catalyst to retort learner’s quest for nobler knowledge and venue for the development and nourishment of his/her God-given talents and refinement of his/her values worthy to serve God and the community. Have been perpetuating the vision and mission, the school firmly believes that the success of a Carmelian greatly depend on his/her enthusiasm and purposefulness having sincerest emphasis on cultivating and regulating his/her discipline.
Importance of Value of Discipline
Discipline in CC-Baler is part of personality formation and is molded after the manner in which Christ guided and led his disciples. It may be defined as the combination of all constructive influences which the school exerts on the learners in its efforts to guide him/her towards appropriate and acceptable behavior. More so, it is to create and preserve the conditions essential to the orderly progress of the school to help the learner in the class to acquire skills more effectively, to help each other grow and develop as a person and gradually to instill the fundamental attitude of self-control and personal responsibility. Therefore, discipline is seen as an important process towards producing fully-functioning humanity. It should be lead first to self-discipline and then self-guidance.
This student code of discipline in the new normal way will serve as a guide to continuously cultivate self-discipline among learners of MCC-Baler, the Carmelians. The formulation and implementation of this has rooted from the pandemic, Covid-19 and its challenge to the institution, and shall be done in the school year 2021-2022.
This has been especially formulated due to the following objectives:
- To uphold the mission and vision of MCC Baler on the production of a holistically molded learner;
- To continuously cultivate self-discipline among Carmelians as it paves way to his/her success;
- To preserve the conditions essential to the orderly progress of the school; and
- to continually strive for a quality education.
